elle china via fashion gone rogue

while i'm not the biggest fan of liu wen, as fashion gone rogue's model of the month, they've been posting a lot of her editorials, new and old. while i was looking at this 2008 editorial from elle china, i suddenly really fell in love with this picture. it's so indigenous and wild, but refined at the same time. it made me think of pocahontas and what she must have looked like when she was brought to england and "domesticated," while still retaining her native american culture.

you know, just some deep and profound fashion thoughts for the day.
