Personally, I really love it when designers decide to make items other than clothing/shoes/accessories. Whether it be home decor, kitchen items, or sportswear, it's always interesting to see how their runway styles translate into another field. That said, I really enjoyed it when I noticed today that The Rug Company features designs by quite a few fashion designers. Here are some of my favorites:

(clockwise starting at top left) Love Hearts by Vivienne Westwood, London Swirl by Paul Smith, Faded Glory by Paul Smith, and Climbing Leopard by Diane Von Furstenburg

They also had some pretty cute cushions as well:

(from left to right) Florentine Cushion and Peony Cushion, both by Alice Temperley

All these home decorations are nice and whatnot, but given that there were no prices explicitly listed for each item, my guess is that they are all much too far out of my price range for me to even begin picking out a suitable room for each. I'll just stick to my humble Urban Outfitter dreams for now...

I agree with you- it's always so refreshing to see a designer make an item which isn't clothes related. These rugs and cushions are so lovely and would look great in my new flat (if I could afford their price tags!).
